2/5 Cav operated out of FSB Peggy in Binh Tuy Province for most of the month, with very little contact

In the late morning and early afternoon hours, Charlie Company explored two  bunker complexes, one  consisting of twenty 8 X 10 foot bunkers, and the other thirteen bunkers.  In the bunkers were found one ton of rice.  About 200 punji stakes were deployed around the bunker complexes..  No NVA or VC were seen.  (Source: Operations Report for Period 1 November 70 - 30 April 71, Headquarters, 2nd Battalion 5th Cavalry, 3rd Brigade Separate, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) dtd 29 April 71)
