March - Exact Date Unknown

1st Platoon's SP4 Shivral Bright lights off a "goofy grape" smoke grenade - we don't know why.  Notice his M-16 is broken down for cleaning, and the C-ration can "stove" in the lower left.  Looks like he's about to fall into his foxhole, doesn't it? (Source:  Jim Holcombe)

March - Exact Date Unknown

Comanche moved in and out of Quan Loi during 1968, 69 and 70.  It was also known as Firebase Andy, and by 1970 was the forward headquarters of  the 11th Armored Cavalry.  Notice the red clay.  That stuff got all over one's uniform - and stayed there for a long time.  Take a look at 1SG Solloway in 1968.
